For the enterprise architect.

Integration, maintainability and a credible exit.

App Build Index / Keep this in the buying room

Check the exit before you build.

  • Can you download the full application code yourself, and run it without a rebuild?
  • Is the output standard: a React front end and a WebAssembly back end, TypeScript by default?
  • Is the model compiled to code, so there is no AI-written code to review line by line?
  • Does the exported code pass through your own CI/CD and GitHub workflow?

Betty Blocks says it offers self-serve code export (release notes, June 24, 2026) and standard React and WebAssembly output (bettyblocks.com, October 2026). Ask any vendor to demonstrate the same.

Five questions to ask the vendor.

  1. Who can publish an app, and who approves the change?
  2. Where do prompts, records and logs actually go?
  3. What happens to the bill when usage doubles?
  4. What can our team run after the contract ends?
  5. Can you demonstrate recovery and export on our use case?

Three red flags.

  • A flat price with undefined usage limits.
  • An export promise that has never been tested outside the platform.
  • Governance controls that depend on an undocumented manual process.
